"Contacting Servers......" Message
In addition to consistent problems with Card Sync Errors, now I'm having issues with the "Contacting Servers....." message on the main login screen. Once this message appears, the screen is essentially frozen and there is no functionality. I have to Control/Alt/ESC to move out of the screen. I haven't been able to login in since about 5:30 pm today. Same issue occurred last night as well. I'm not sure what to do at this point. I am running a MAC OS via STEAM. I've validated the integrity of the game's local files, as well as having updated to the current OS version. All these issues just began within the last couple weeks. Logging in at this time is hit-or-miss every time. The game is essentially unusable. I'm hesitant to reinstall the game for fear of losing any PT data. (I've spent 7 months building my team/accumulating points). Any advice is appreciated!

As follow-up to my earlier "bug" posts re: card syncing errors and continual "contacting servers" issues, both problems have been resolved and login works great now! Using a post of trouble-shooting steps that Markus had provided in the Bug Reports Forum, I unticked the "Enable Steam Overlay" box in my Steam OOTP 23 game menu. Once done, problem resolved. Thanks for the info Markus and Team!
