Question Regarding Contract Offers
As the GM of my team, I am very involved on everything right down to what players will get offers to play in the organization's minor league system...een if they are simply organizational filler.
Here is my question though: Does anyone know or understand why you can offer certain players only MLB contracts, while other players you can offer either an MLB or MiLB contract? I mean I get that sometimes the player may demand a major league deal...but why can't I at least make the offer? Does this simply mean the player is not open to anything less than a major league contract? |

It is kinda broke as well. As if you load all leagues an indy team making a 25k offer per year counts to the player/agent as a major league deal even if your minor league deal is for 20x that amount.
there has been so many times I am improving my minor leagues and the player signs a 15k deal to some tiny indy league then I just buy him out from the league. A minor league MLB deal is always better then an american indy deal. I could see if japan or korea comes knocking for a pro deal. But 15k usa indy deal over a minor league. not never |

Yes this seems true, but purchasing an Indy league player still isn’t cheap at 250k and if you keep doing it, will certainly eat into your available money to spend on FAs |
