Ottawa making weird choices

In my save, (End of second season), the Ottawa Senators just put Tim Stutzle on waivers. He had 35 points in 73 games, although it's bad for a guy being paid 8 millions a year, I can't understand why they would put him on waivers.

Most of it is the AI struggling with the cap. It doesn't take performance into account as far as I know. I'm sure there are several determining factors in how the AI decides which players to send down and such, but who knows what those may be other than the developers.

At game creation, try turning the "Percentage of Talent from Stats" setting down to 20 or even lower. I've found this helps the AI to not make quite so many dumbfounding decisions. YMMV.
