I cannot hire managers that were fired in the offseason.

As the title says, after the World Series win and you click the arrow to advance to the offseason and you see a bunch of managers and GMs getting fired by their teams, when you go into those managers pages and offer them a contract, they all say I have no interest in managing your team.

What am I doing wrong?

I am doing an offline solo franchise and I took over the Yankees for the 2023 season as part of a storyline I am doing. Fired Boone and hired Mike Scioscia as our manager. Anyway, Mike retired and some of the managers I want to sign have gotten fired, but...

1) They don't show up in the unemployed screen
2) None of them want to be hired.

Pretty frustrating.

Do a combination of advance a day or close the game and restart or both.
