Well, if I understand your objective, you can definitely do this. You can choose when to expand the league, transfer franchises, create new divisions. Not sure what kind of evolution you have in mind, but there are many options.

I have set up a 1914 Season sim with the Federal League, and my aim is to sign enough players for it to survive beyond 1915 and evolve into a legit third major league. I also want to have the Pacific Coast League evolve into a fourth major league, over time. Not easy but possible.

I am looking for the computer to evolve the league like in custom leagues.

Hmm. The minute that happens, it's no longer a historical league. You can do this by just replaying a custom league with historical properties. And while it's intriguing. Seems like there is a lot of better uses for the dev team to tackle before something like this, especially when there are ways to do this...just not automatically.

Yes. Sure. But once you have set things in motion, and depending on TCR, the new leagues will evolve without the need for further edits. Indeed, I suppose that, if the country can’t support 32 major league franchises, even with all of the talent from the Negro Leagues, the leagues might contract on their own. Admittedly, the Depression was a rough time for the sixteen MLB franchises, and truly so for the Negro Leagues, and many minor league teams.

okay maybe to be able to create a fictional league with real players from that year
