Align Draft, All Star Break, and complex league schedules

I'm trying to line up my league schedule so that that draft happens the weekend of the all star break, but unless I'm missing something, that pushes the start of the complex leagues back into mid Aug, which means if I keep a 60 game schedule they'd be playing beyond the regular season of the Majors. I can live with pushing the all star game up a week, to say the first Tues in July instead of the 2nd...but with a 30 day signing period, off days, and a 58-60 game schedule, I'm still in late Sept. I'm thinking what I need to do is shorten that signing window to 2 or 3 weeks, but I don't see an option to do that? Am i missing it? what are you all doing in your ML leagues?

The only thing I can think of is to turn off I believed it's called "Advanced Draftee Signing" in your game settings. I don't know if there is a way to change the signing period.

From the manual.

"When Advanced Draftee Signings are disabled, drafted players automatically sign contracts for their stated demands."

Maybe try adjusting the date on the League Events Report?

Not sure if that will work, worth a try.

Ah. Dang it. I looked there and didn't find a corresponding event but just went to look to make sure and I see it...Draftee Negotiations End.
That ought to work. I'll try it this year. Thanks for making me look again!

Yep, that would work as well...though for whatever reason I enjoy putting myself through the torture of negotiating with all 20 of my draft picks every year.
