Card Limits

I understand that there may be a limited number of historical cards released, but is there a limit to the number of live cards released? Reason for asking is that I just went 80+ packs over a weeks time before I got anything above a gold card. Luck is luck. So, if no limit to live cards, I'll chalk it up to bad luck. But, it just had me thinking.

There are limited edition cards which have either 25 or 100 copies created. See the thread pinned above where Dishnet announces them.

There are also, this year, Platinum Series cards. PS1 ended already and those cards are no longer in packs. PS2 ends Thursday night, and those cards will be removed from packs, replaced by PS3 cards.
