What’s with the random doubleheaders after 2022?

MLB standard game…the schedules generated after 2022 always have random doubleheaders. I understand there may be a hiccup here where the AI might think doubleheaders are normal because of the lockout, but this isn’t normal (in modern baseball). Anyone have any tips on how to best fix this? If I generate a new schedule, I see random off days on the weekend (not counting the Friday during Opening Week).

It just keeps using the 2022 schedule going forward (which has the doubleheaders) unless something about your league structure changes.

The in-game schedule generator isn't very good about days of the week, so I would recommend downloading a schedule mod.

I wish schedule editing was easier or even that there was a simpler way to get it to quit using the XML schedules it finds. I like to have my all-star game later in the season, but it usually takes me several seasons to get it to quit changing my schedule back.

Or you can simply use any schedule from before 2022.

My game is imported from version to version so I don't know for sure but, didn't they include the actual pre-lockout 2022 schedule for one to select if they so choose?

It really is as easy as selecting a schedule from any year you want from a menu.

And, even though it is that easy the best policy is to just backup your game before making any change.

You can also use the schedule editor in the game to move things around. It's manual, and you probably need to know what you're doing with scheduling. But you can do anything you want in the schedule editor in the game.

Wondering if OOTP has built-in the change to a Balanced Schedule in 2023?
That might make a difference if it is.

They haven’t but I know they could. Back in OOTP 13, they did this with the Astros moving to the AL.
