Controversial statement re. 2B

The Dave Conception live reward is a better starter at 2B than 100 BAL Joe Morgan.

My Morgan had an incredible hitting year, highest WAR in my diamond league at 4.8 (kinda low ya) but a defensive liability. Mr. Conception had a decent above average year batting (99 OPS+) and started at 2B in 63 games with 2.0 WAR. And he's 8th in the league in defensive ZR after a full time Conception at 2B (21.4 ZR!!!) and 6 crazy shortstops. Morgan has almost exactly double the plate appearances (479 vs 238)... Yea top WAR in league with 479 PA. (Not bragging the variances in this game mean next year he'll have 49 OPS+ or something.... it's luck. The point is Conception's defense is elite and it matters).

Yea, they platoon so maybe Conception batting against righties will destroy the argument. Still thinking Joe Morgan goes DH vs R next season.

TLDR: My Joe Morgan BAL 100 card can barely beat Conception at WAR production at 2B when my Morgan had a lucky year and was (maybe is) one of the top batters in my diamond league.

Concepcion is a pretty good value at 2B (trained up) and even SS. Has been for me.
