22 to 23 trouble with transaction list in historical league

Hi all,

I'm having trouble moving my game from OOTP 22 to OOTP 23 without it messing up all of the historical transactions. (I think transactions that should be players going on the Disabled List are coming up as retirements and so on.) I've asked this question in the forums before and was told to advance my historical game in 22 to the day before the offseason begins in my historical league and then switch to 23 and that should fix it. I did so and advanced the game and the problem is still there, may players retiring years before they should.

I've also asked this question in a ticket to customer service a week and a half ago and haven't gotten an answer yet. (Curious if anyone knows the usual turn-around time there too.)

I'd greatly appreciate a fix if anyone knows of one!

Thank you!

See posts 53 and thereafter on this thread. This came up, got identified and resolved in a patch, I believe. What version of the game are you on (on title page it will be on the bottom) as Version XX.X Build XX.

I think the immediate solution was to ensure you didn't move a game from 22 to 23 while in-season.

Hello! Thanks for engaging on this. I'm on Version 23.5 Build 73.

I saw that thread and based on it, I thought I was supposed to wait until right before the start of the offseason and then switch to 23. Maybe it would work if I advanced the game into the offseason in 22 and try again? I'm afraid to advance it at this point for fear I'll need to play another entire season in 22 before I can move on to 23, but admittedly, I have no idea what I'm doing with this. Putting in a ticket on July 26 hasn't resulted in a response yet either.

I greatly appreciate your input here. Thanks!

That may be the difference. That one day and needing to enter the off-season vs doing the move just before it.

Go to File>Backups>Backup Current Game. Create a Backup so if something goes sideways, you can restore it.

With the Backup preserving the game as-is, I'd then try advancing to the offseason in OOTP22 and then move to OOTP23.
