Historical Players to Fictional League

Looking for some help with this. I started a fictional league and now after 10 years of history, I want to start to slowly add in some real players from across history. I was able to do this in previous version rather easily by getting the lahman id and the year I wanted and then adding to notepad. Then I was simply able to go into the free agents screen, click import historical players and import the entire list. But, every time I have tried it with the new version, it has failed. Any ideas? And I am in commissioner mode while attempting to do this. Thanks in advance

What you are doing should work. Use the baseball-reference webpage ending for that player. So, for Reggie Jackson, it is: jacksre01 as taken from: baseball-reference.com/players/j/jacksre01.shtml

Here is a template for a mass import. Just replace the half dozen historic Red Sox on the example sheet with the players you want to bring in.

That is exactly the same format that I have. Funny thing is that when looking through the OOTP 23 files, I cannot find the historical players database like the previous versions had. Maybe that is the problem.

UPDATE----Found where I went wrong. Forgot to select the Historical Database from the stats area of the database.
