Adjusted draft budget calculations

Good to see this added. Is there any way to fix this manually in an on-going season? I did try in commish mode and it allowed me go go to the team page and enter a new amount.
Example: Red Sox spent ~$8 min on draft last season
This season they budgeted ~$21 mil
I type in $10 mil and hit enter
The amount goes to $0 and they have no money budgeted for the draft
Then add on that this money doesn't appear anywhere else so it can at least be used. It becomes "vapor funds"

It's even a bigger budget killer to small market teams like Kansas City budgeting ~$11 mil and not having those funds available for other needs.

My guess is there is no fix until the offseason but figured I'd post what I had tried that had failed. Hoping someone else knows of a way?

Maybe i dont get how it works, if this is public beta, when will the official one get released? Will the official one have more changes?

Is it possible to publish any settings or player updates that would require a restart so that we can manually update our current saves? It would be great if this could be part of each on going update.

It's such a bad feeling to have to restart each time there is an update.

This is a 'test' of the patch, in case there are any bugs or other issues in the patch that didn't get caught in testing, but may be discovered by the vast userbase as a whole. Usually if the patch turns out to be stable with no major issues, they officially release it a few days later.

Generally, if the public beta goes well it will be 24-48 hours until we get the official patch. Sometimes they get other small changes implemented before the official patch, but this will be the majority of what is included.

PS: About the Facegen issues on Macs, this is unfortunately an issue in the Facegen code base, but their developers are aware and working on it. So we hope this is fixed soon!

Note: If you are seeing issues where all player hats are simply black, you may need to verify your local game files and double-check the installation. There are updates to the player models in data\ballparks\models\misc\player\models so especially if you are running a custom install, you need to make sure those files get updated.

If you read Markus's post until the bottom, he addresses the Mac Facegen issues. I appreciate everyone at OOTP and all the hard work guys, but as a Mac user, personally I don't see the point of downloading another update till the Facegen issues are fixed. It's a black hole in the game now.

I’m having no issues playing on my Mac. Actually better visually, probably due to larger better monitor than my PC laptop. Then again, I’m not really looking at faces. Not my thing.

There are typically many thousands of changes in the rosters covering hundreds or sometimes even thousands of players each update (depending on how long it is between updates). It would take days to update these yourself.

As for the settings changes, some can be 'behind the scenes' to where you couldn't even update them yourself in your game.

So this is just not possible, unfortunately. There are just far too many changes in far too many places to even keep track of them.

Same here. I’ve gone back to playing OOTP22 until the Mac issues are resolved for OOTP23. No sense in downloading patches when facegen for Mac is not functioning properly.

The facegen issues for Mac users is not a hardware issue

Facegen issues exist for the majority of Mac users. This has been acknowledged by Markus and company, and Facegen themselves.

I have the latest MacBook released in October 2021 fully loaded with the M1 Max chip, 16” inch, 32G RAM. I also have large 4K monitors. With all that still have facegen issues.
