PT 23 Player Stats

I don't know if I am barking up wrong tree, but are all the LIVE cards REAL LIFE stats are for 2020 season and not the 2021 season? Seems like previous season the "back of the card" stats were last years stats not 2 years behind? I understand non active cards having the last year of players career, but LIVE CARDS being 1-2 years behind? Check out a LIVE CARD...The last line of stats are for 2020, not 2021 like it should be.
For instance Corbin Burnes last line of stats on back of card is 4 win 1 loss with a 2.11 ERA 12 games played with 9 of those starts, but last year he was 11-5 2.43 ERA 28 games with 28 starts and the CY Young...Are the cards we own based on 2020 stats and not 2021 stats
If you look at a 2022 Corbin Burnes LIVE rating it in no way matches up to what he did in 2021. It matches his 2020 REAL LIFE stats with a low walk rating. So these 2022 card are actually rated on the 2020 season. Question is why?

No, they actually aren't rated on the 2020 season (or the 2021 season for that matter). They're rated on 2022 projections.
