Phillies *really* want to get rid of Alec Bohm
Not sure if this is some kind of glitch or bug, but the Phillies seem unusually determined to dump Alec Bohm. When I click on "make this work" to trade for him, the Phillies are basically saying we'll take anyone in your organization (including a 31-year old half-star minor league reliever and I'm just at "B" in the alphabet here):
![]() Kind of strange since Bohm is only making the minimum, is regarded as a good teammate, is currently hitting 290/389/581 through early May in this save, and is generally considered one of Philly's top young players. And I have the trade settings set about 75% to hard, and about 60% on favor prospects so it's not that. I noticed this shopping a decent-but-not great prospect of mine where Bohm was by far the best player made available when I shopped him. I can't in good conscience just take him from Philly though. Any idea what gives? |

Trade difficulty needs to be on the hardest level, and neutral in terms of vets vs prospects. It's obviously your right to do what you want, but I strongly suggest those settings. I also strongly suggest you have your ratings in the AI evaluation settings to at least 55.

Bohm is an anomaly here, though - there's nobody else being offered as good as him, and there's nobody as good as him that I can essentially have for free. I do a lot of shopping and haven't seen anything like this. |

Probably his defense dragging him down. I guess it depends on if the Phillies have a preference towards defense over offense in-game.
In real life, we obviously know that they don't seem to care much about defense. |

Guessing it's his defense and as a Phillies fan in real life it is frustrating to watch him play defense. In my save they traded him to Bmore for peanuts, and Camargo is still their 3rd basemen in 2025.

But he rebounded nicely from that by owning up to it and admitting he was frustrated, and that was embraced by the Philly fans to the extent he got an standing O next game. He is hitting very well and has settled down in the field. If Harp ever heals, Bohm can spend time at DH. Camargo is a utility player and not the answer.
