Players developing way too quickly/young
I noticed this in the Beta version and figured it would go away with the official release, but it hasn't. Has anyone else noticed that players are developing way too quickly?
I'm seeing way too many players like this. Guys who aren't even 20 yet and their ratings are already fully developed. https://imgur.com/a/1PbR8J2 |

![]() Batista just turned 19, he made his major league debut at 17, he entered as a 16 year old as an international FA, and by the time he was 17 he already had pretty much fully developed tools. Padilla, Espinal, Carpaccio, Ramirez, and Villalba, all debuted at 18. Here's Batista:

Oh man, so any existing players in the league are unaffected and will speed develop still post-patch?

I just started a new season (year two of the 23 universe) with the newest patch installed. I can only wish prospects developed quickly. I need pitching help now and my best prospects are in the low minors about to start their second seasons. I'm seeing development at the speed I've been accustomed to in the previous versions.

No. They'll stop developing fast and will develop normally but any fast development that happened already is baked in.

And you can look back fondly on MLB’s “genetic engineering” era in several years, whilst the debates rage on in the league newspaper about whether any of these abominations should be HOF eligible LOL
