GM Creation and Progression
TL;DR: Essentially football manager career mode translated into OOTP
This might be a separate game mode, or maybe would be included in Challenge mode, but having it set where you have abilities that you can progress such as - Player Persuasiveness (Ability to persuade a player to play a different position) - Owner Persuasiveness (Ability to persuade the owner in multiple key areas such as increasing budget, increasing stadium capacity, building a new stadium, adding more coaching positions, etc.) - Media Handling (Effects the types of questions you get from media, and the effects they have on players, coaches, and overall media relations with you) - Free Agent Negotiations (Ability to negotiate on the contract for free agents. May allow a player to be more willing to take a discount, or have more back and forth negotiation.) - Curent Player Negotiations (Same as above but for current players) - Coaching Contract Negotiations (Same as above but for coaches) - International Amateur Negotiations (Same as above but for IFA) - Overall Reputation Progression (Make it take longer to gain a solid reputation. Have it be a cumulative rating of all of the ratings above) At the start of the game a player can choose their GM's "History" such as what they have done in the baseball world to help create a starting point (The ratings I'm just throwing out will be on a 1-100 scale for no real particular reason) - High School Ball: 24 total "points" to allocate to your abilities, or default each ability to 3 - End of the Road JUCO: 40 total "points" to allocate to your abilities, or default each ability to 5 - Everyday D1: 80 total "points" to allocate to your abilities, or default each ability to 10 - A Ball: 112 total "points" to allocate to your abilities, or default each ability to 14 - AA Ball: 160 total "points" to allocate to your abilities, or default each ability to 20 - AAA Ball: 200 total "points" to allocate to your abilities, or default each ability to 25 - Everyday Big Leaguer: 240 total "points" to allocate to your abilities, or default each ability to 30 - Superstar: 280 total "points" to allocate to your abilities, or default each ability to 35 - MLB HOFer: 336 total "points" to allocate to your abilities, or default each ability to 42 Once the player has selected their starting style they can choose to either pick which team they start with or start unemployed. If they start unemployed, the job offers they would receive would be reflected upon their actual abilities. So someone who selected the High School Ball abiliy level would only have offers from the very lowest leagues, whereas a GM that selected MLB HOFer as their ability level would likely be able to get some MLB offers right out of the gate. When you are unemployed, you'd have to interview for positions and convince the owner that you are the right fit for the job and possibly even be rejected in favor of someone else. Once hired have a little more interactions to be able to do on a regular basis such as individual player interactions to either encourage a player, get onto a player for poor performance or praise them for good performance, etc. and then also have media interactions where you have to address the media and answer questions from them. They can range from questions about your opponents, your team, your players, yourself, and all the questions can have an effect on the relationships and morale of players on your team, as well as the respect/opinion of opponets players, GM's, and Owners. As you progress into your career if there is an owner that does not like you because of comments you have made adn built a bad relationship with them then they may not offer you a position for their open job. Same for any players who you may have made bad comments, or built a negative relationship with, they may not want to play for your organization, and the same goes for coaches that have a bad relationship with you due to comments you have made during media gatherings they may refuse to be a manager in your organization.
