3-D ballpark construction kit
I know Markus was proud when they 1st started this and I was excited to see how far it would go but I'm not seeing much difference in '23 vs '22 unless I'm missing something. Has anyone noticed a difference that I'm missing?

I don't believe we did much with it this year. There was a lot of other stuff to work on! We won't forget about it though, it's definitely in the plans to continue adding to it and improving it in the future.

Please don't take this the wrong way, because its not meant harshly, but the same thing was said about Associations.

Having said that I don't know if either associations or stadium builder is tracked in the data sent to OOTP Dev.? ![]() Seems like not matter what they do they're in a "rob Peter to pay Paul" scenario.

As a fictional OOTP'er (well, I'm not actually fictional, but you know what I mean), this is a feature that I was excited about when it was released. While there are many great modded parks out there, I thought it would be even better to create some custom parks for the teams in my W.P. Kinsella League. And I'll admit I never really played around with this much, but I did get the impression it was still very much a work in progress so I held off. And now, a few versions later, I often find myself wondering if this was a great idea that never really got off the ground. I think at the time the word was that this was something Markus was excited about and had wanted to add to the game for some time. So I kept thinking it would get some love eventually. But with people like me never touching it, maybe that is an unfounded hope. A catch-22 indeed.

I used it to create some ballparks for my fictional teams. I really liked how easy it was to use. The only downside was the limited number of options for a lot of the features. I hoped they would add more as time went on but it's looking like it's not used enough to make it worth the effort. Catch 22, maybe.

Same here - I used it make some stadiums and also found it much too limited.
More Stadium types needed, more options for backdrops and stands. Advertisement options for fences would be great. I thought it was a nice addition in 21, and was quite excited about it. Remember hearing how it would be added to, but I haven't seen any change yet. I will continue to hold out hope though. The past few years has seen a lot of change in the background that we don't see. Could just be on the backburner for a while. Remain positive and march onward my son

Definitely, but I'd settle for a few more different types of infields and more types of stands in the outfield.

I was really excited about it when originally introduced, but am really disappointed that the stadium types and other options have not been expanded that much. I have never played fictional before, and was thinking I might try fictional if I could create different stadiums I wanted. Never could get the stadiums the way I like, and was hoping they'd improve the stadium builder, with many more options. Will probably wait to play fiction until the stadium Builder improves enough for me to build the stadiums I would like to have. |

Yes
Add me to the group that would like to see more options added to fictional stadiums. Perhaps it could start a push for this in 24.

I tried it and IMHO thought it was as badly thought out as Park Factors in PT. It was a great idea, poorly executed. With so few options it becomes the same stadiums before you get your league done.

I dd a 32 team QS where virtually every custom stadium was from the BCK. All also had their own modded grasses. It's still up at the links originally provided. You can do a lot with the few building blocks simply by changing colors and adjusting the pictures you burn into the grass. I did logos, pictures from around the towns the teams were set in, text.
It's also mentioned in the tutorial that we can design our own stadium building blocks. That kind of work is utterly beyond me, but perhaps we could nudge some of our very talented stadium designers to toss us a few ideas in that area. The BCK is potential for a limitless wealth of interchangeable parts.

I love this feature. It reminds me of "Earl Weaver Baseball" when you had the option to build a new ballpark. I brought back the Montreal Expos in one of my sims and built the ballpark, Labatt Park, which they were trying to build in downtown Montreal which never got done. It looked fantastic.

The people who share their stadiums in the mods part of the forum do an amazing job. I usually just find some from there. Hoping nothing new this year messes up any of the old parks that have been shared.
