Pre-ordered the game on FastSpring, but want Steam version instead

Hi, when I preordered the game last week (April 15) there was no option to pre-order a Steam code. I wanted to be sure to get the release discount and the perfect team bonus, so I went ahead and pre-ordered. Now, I see that the release discount is available on Steam and I would rather have the Steam version to improve portability and use auto-updating. Is there any way I can trade in my activation key for a Steam code? Or can I get a refund for the pre-order and just buy the Steam version on my own? If I am able to get a refund from FastSpring, how do I do that?

I’m not sure the exact process, but you can get a refund within 14 days of purchase/release. Look on the OOTP or FastSpring websites themselves.

Hey guys! I successfully got a Steam code today from OOTP support. The process I followed was this:

1. Sent an email to sales@ootpdevelopments.com explaining the situation and asking for a Steam code.
2. You will get an email from support@ootpdevelopments.zohodesk.eu soon after saying a ticket has been created
3. Responded to the email with the requested information.
4. They got back to me via email in under 24 hours offering a Steam code, which I accepted.

Importantly, I did not attempt to use the FastSpring key to activate the game. Hope this helps!

That is great news. I just wish it was the oposite for my situation.

I will try to see if they allow me to get the beta acess for the PT, even I got on steam
