Small ball in Mac version?

In OOTP 22 for Mac OS, the ball was displayed very very small, even if the largest ball setting was selected in Settings. The only fix was to downgrade the graphics. Has this been fixed in OOTP 23?

Works with Monterey (MacBook Pro 14).
Yes, the ball is appears to be smaller than when I played on a windows system.

What I am asking is whether this bug has been fixed in OOTP23. Under OOTP22 playing on a Mac, unless you downgrade the graphics, you can barely see the ball in flight making the game unenjoyable. I'm wondering if the developers have fixed this in OOTP23.

I think what we are both asking is...does OOTP23 "currently" work with Monterey with high resolution graphics. As mentioned, the game does not function correctly without jumping thru hoops.

I believe we both would like to know what the developers support for the Mac product will be in the 23 version.

This. I guess I could have worded mine differently.

Okay thanks. At least that answers the question.

So OOTP23 then does not work fully and properly on the Mac OS. Regrettably it clearly makes NO sense for any Mac user to upgrade to 23 at this point. Bummer.

Once they support the same full graphics that the windows version gets, that may change but not supporting the current version of the Mac OS is...well I'll leave that to others with a stronger viewpoint (and words).

I have a Mac (purchased 2019) and I can see the ball just fine in OOTP 22. I will check later to see what version OS I have installed.

Update: I checked my OS - I'm on version 11.5.2 which is Big Sur. Apparently Monterey is version 12. Therefore I will not upgrade yet. Thanks for the warning.

Hopefully the developers will resolve the issues with OOTP on Monterey and make it work.

It is not a Monterey issue. The "small ball" issue arose in OOTP22 under a prior version of Mac OS. Is your Mac system setup for HiRes. When I origianlly bought OOTP22, I used the highest resolution/3D setting and Ball Size parameter was set to "Very Big." Nevertheless, the ball in flight was almost invisible. It made the game wholly unenjoyable. When I posted the issue here, I was told by the support folks to reduce the resolution. It has been so long since I've played the game, I have forgotten exactly what the setting change was.

In the Settings part of OOTP23 what setting do you have for Ball Size ?

Hmmm not much of a graphics guy, but I do play on Mac with OS Monterrey, and was not aware of any issues with OOTP22. The ball, come to think of it, is smaller than on my PC laptop (also OOTP 22). Not really an issue for me, though. Overall the 3D graphics are way better on the Mac. The game plays fine. I hope there is not a Monterrey issue with OOTP23. Logic says if OOTP22 was fully compatible, not a stretch to make OOTP23 compatible.
