[Simulate current week] Click!
"Hmm, that looks like a win, good. Oh, a loss there--how'd the team I'm chasing do, aha, they lost as well, OK. What? A no-hitter going, and we're off to the park... "Hey, this is one of MY pitchers. 4-0, top of nine and there's the first out. Wonder if its a perfect game, hmmm, nope. Only one walk though, must have been a DP, CS or a pickoff because this is the bottom third of the order up in the ninth. Oops, base hit to left field, bye bye no no. Uh oh, there's a double to right on pitch number 115, surely the computer will take him out now." [Simulate to end] Click! [Viewing box score] "8-4 in 19 innings? At least we won, but how on earth did this happen? Starter went a full nine? Why?" THE POINT. It would be nice to be able to actually take control when the simulation goes to a game involving your team to check on a no-hitter or 3HRs or hitting for the cycle or batters 3000th hit or whatever. I think my closer just might have managed to shut the door before the fourth run scored. It was frustrating not to be able to make the obvious move, as though I was suspended or something--even a manager in the clubhouse after being tossed would yell down the corridor to make sure the coaches did the right thing! (Just a suggestion. Game remains fantastic overall.) --McBruce |

I think that, when you go to the in-game screen, you can click on the button at the top labeled "game options", change your team to human controlled, and play the game yourself.
