Games crashes and says unable to read geographic data.
I've read the other threads on this topic but deleting the database folder didn't fix it. After I bought the game and installed it I set up a 2016 historical orioles franchise. I played it for a couple hours and logged off. When I get back on to play it hours later, it tells me the save was corrupted. Annoying, but whatever. I go to start a new franchise but when I hit next on the screen where you pick what year you want to play the game crashes and says it can't find the geographic data and a old world template could be the problem. Any solutions? I've uninstalled and reinstalled the game about five times already...

It kind of sounds like there may be some issues with another program you have installed interfering with OOTP and causing some data corruption. Anti-malware and anti-virus programs are especially likely to cause those sort of issues. So it's always a good idea to whitelist (exclude) OOTP in those programs.
It seems like you also have a second issue of some old files left from before the uninstall that are directing the game to a non-existent data path. Given this is fairly complex, the quickest way for us to get you help, would be if you can submit a support ticket (https://support.ootpdevelopments.com/portal/en/home or email support@ootpdevelopments.com) so the support guys can work with you directly on checking this out.
