While I have sold about half of cards needed to complete FH#3, I do have at least 10 that are either completed or I just need 1-2 cards. Are any of you in a similar situation speculating on who might be some of the cards in hopes to have the set completed before it’s revealed tomorrow?

I needed Ruffing to complete the Yankees set, and in hopes that FH#3 is a Ruth or Mantle, decided that was a good place to spend money in hopes of avoiding the price hike I assume is coming in 24 hours. I’m guessing the Giants might be valuable with possible Mays or Bonds. Also think Dbacks could be good with possible Randy Johnson. Just trying to think of guys I’ve yet to see this year, that might qualify. Some teams I’m not as amped to complete right now, as it would appear unlikely their FH#3 is a real difference maker considering other cards already in the game: Phillies, Brewers, Cubs for example.

I'm hoping for a watered down, meta-useless Ty Cobb card so my theme team can afford to buy it.

I'm fairly certain on the following cards - I've been focusing on the NL Central.

Chicago - Mr. Cub Ernie Banks
Cincinnati - Johnny Bench
Milwaukee - Robin Yount (less confident here because I think there is a Yount already out there)
St. Louis - Bob Gibson
Pittsburgh - Roberto Clemente

You’re correct on the Yount. I believe it was a topper at some point. Gibson was just released on last weeks drop. Banks and Bench are good specs. I’ve thought maybe Clemente or Honus Wagner for the Pirates. Maybe Hornsby for the Cardinals?

This is my first year playing, is this set ever included in any future sets/missions?

Good grief.. only got half of them and it's still going to take a fortnight to sort out my best team. Wish there had been another elite pitcher or two in (my) bunch at the expense of outfielders, though. Can't see me completing any more for a while as the prices have gone totally insane, although no doubt they'll calm down after a while. C'est la vie.

HOLY CRAP I got my Pudge and....a perfect Ozzie Smith! But this is my theme team! I don't wanna sell it cuz he's one of my five favorite players of all-time....but he doesn't fit my theme team! Quandry!!!!! =(

Edit : Ended up posting him. That's a lot of possible PP to use to upgrade this team. It's hard to pass that up. But still...it makes me sad. =/

Feel like my speculations worked out well. Decided to buy back the Yaz card to complete the Red Sox mission the day before Ted Williams was released. Felt the Yankees FH would be Ruth or Mantle. Disappointed a bit with the Mantle card. I only had a few teams completed pre drop, and Willis was the only pitcher. Too many OF’s to sort through!
