Move to new computer
I know that this has been posted in previous versions of OOTP and figured the procedures were the same but I cannot get it to work.
I have numerous historical leagues I take turns playing. I backed up each league/game to my OneDrive folder. Then I moved those folders off of OneDrive on my local drive on the new computer and tried to restore the backup. I select the destination folder and get error cannot create destination folder even though it exists. Ideally I would like to keep my OOTP files on My local OneDrive folder that will sync with the cloud to avoid this in the future if possible. I am running Win 11 but di not think this is causing it and am running OOTP via Steam. Any suggestions? |

You should follow these steps.
1) un-license the game if you plan to never use the old PC. 2) install ootp on the new PC. license the game. 3) copy the saved_game folder from your one-drive to the new PC 4) you may have to copy any ballparks, jerseys, logos, ballcaps, bb_cards, fg_files or sounds that you still need to the new PC. That should do it. I don't use the Steam version so I can't tell you the correct paths for the install. |

Cloud backups don't work well with OOTP saves. Try using an external drive instead.
