Perfect Team Missions
Does it bother anyone else that the missions/rewards are released on Thursdays in the middle of a perfect league season? It seems to disrupt the integrity of the current season in play because i have seen whole teams rosters change. A bad team suddenly becomes good. What was a good team suddenly becomes average if they don’t keep up. It seems like Sunday nights would be the best time to do this.

It's the same for everyone. And people can constantly upgrade their teams via missions, lucky pulls or AH spends.
Personally, I'd lock rosters after Thursday night to simulate the trade deadline, but whatever. It's the same weather for everyone.

I see your point, but I think it misses an essential part of the game. The teams that benefit from the drops are those who have prepared for them by collecting the cards and completing necessary missions. If that gives them an advantage mid-season, so be it. I'm getting crucified this year alternating 4th and 5th with the only other guy in the division not to have all the FH3 stuff, but I'm in that position because of previous sub-optimal play, not RNG.
I don't object to the suggestion particularly, but I'm guessing the OOTP guys would rather work Thursday than Sunday. The 'trade deadline' idea would work just as well, but I think most players would just find it unnecessarily frustrating?

I agree with of the people in the thread that it works like a simulated trade deadline. But no, I am not a fan since most of my Friday and Saturdays (with significant mission drops) are spent watching my team free fall in the standings. Last Thursday was a great example. I was having what was my best showing in Diamond (still a losing record), but I just got run over on Friday and Saturday. Luckily, I got demoted back to Gold. |

You want to punish people that have worked several months on missions by saying that they cannot use the rewards when they earn them? That is not a good idea. Last year I did not keep up with the missions. I sold too many cards looking for fast gratification. I suffered for it. This year I started the first day collecting cards, even live irons. I strategically sold. I bought cards that were marketed too cheap and sold them. I had all of FH3. I very much enjoyed the reward for my year of work. Of course I put them in last Thursday night.

It's not when, it's how much of an impact? Most releases can have one to maybe 5 decent drops. FH3 wiped out entire rosters. FH3 was too good and needed to be spread out a little more.

I like the idea of a trade deadline. After July 31st no changes allowed to Active roster. Or maybe 40 players total allowed after July 31st?
