A quick question
I have noticed a lot of pitchers that were starters in real life but are only getting relief ratings/stamina. Is this normal with recalc off? For example, Phil Niekro is a reliever only in my league and I'm in 1970 now.
If not what settings are affecting this? I have PD on / Recalc off playing historical 1962 season and beyond. Last edited by Greymantle; 10-26-2021 at 11:12 AM. |

The import year is the cause and David points to the correct in-game tool to adjust for it.
If you look at 1962, Niekro was a reliever in Louisville with 98 IP and only one game started. I had a 1979 forward sim where Orel Hershiser was a RP and famous relievers of the 80s were SPs when I too didn't think to adjust the setting to entire career. I decided to let it roll assuming the players stuck to those roles in that reality... |

I was wondering why so many players were not playing their correct position. I started over and I'm amazed at how many players play different positions as their main now. I'm also finding players fit better into a utility role now that were sorta worthless before. Thanks!
