NFL draft 2005
Whose your favorite team and who do you think they will draft?
Jets fan here. I'm hoping we can have a choice between CB Fabian Washington or TE Heath Miller at #26. Most projections have both available and my gut is the Jets would take the CB but I would be very happy with another toy for Pennington to play with. |

Dolphins will trade down and eventually end up with either Minnesota or Arizona's pick and surprise everyone by drafting FSU OT Alex Barron. Of course I put the actual odds on this about 20-1, but it's what I hope they do. I think most likely they will wind up with either Tampa's 5 or Minnesota's 7 pick and draft Cadillac Williams, then parlay that newfound 2nd round pick into an OL.

My team is Miami, and I anticipate them selecting Ronnie Brown with the second overall pick, or trading down with Tampa or maybe Arizona and taking the remaining back out of Brown, Cadillac Williams, and Cedric Benson.

I'd be real happy if Antrel Rolle or Pac Man Jones drop to Kansas City at 15, but that's a pretty slim possibility. They'll probably draft an underachieving defensive lineman (like Ryan Sims) or a player at a position that they don't need (like Larry Johnson).
I'd like to see them go for one of the aforementioned CBs if they are out there. If not, Mike Williams would be a good pick-up, although the Chiefs probably need speed at WR more than anything, so maybe a guy like Mark Clayton would be a good pick up. You can't go wrong with Pollack, but you can go wrong with Erasmus James IMO. Basically, the Chiefs have enough holes that I'll be happy as long as they don't draft a RB, QB, S or TE in the first round. |

http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...ad.php?t=96368 Yes, I do think he is bluffing (sort of), but if Tampa doesn't make the deal he wants, I think he'll go through with drafting Smith or Rodgers and be open to trade talks later, but be willing to make do with the situation. In other words, I think it's all a play to make a deal, but he'll go through with it if that's the way it plays out.

It's been said that neither of these quarterbacks should be drafted in the 1st round, but the Packers might reach because other teams but snag one out of no where. They really need to find someone to be the next Favre. Last edited by mauboy; 04-20-2005 at 12:04 PM. |

Bils fan and we need some secondary help here. I would love to see OT Adam Terry from Syracuse but chances are he will gone by the Bills pick. I just hope that they don't make any stupid trades that will cost them picks in next year's draft.

Titans I think should draft Derrick Johnson, but I suppose trading one CB named Rolle for another wouldn't be horrendous either.

Cowboys fan here, and well heres my draft board
1. Mike Williams 2. Antrel Rolle 3. Derrick Johnson 4. David Pollack 5. Shawne Merriman Here's what the Cowboys will do: Trade their first round picks for 2nd round picks and take guys like Sherman Williams and Quincy Carter. =/ But for real if Mike Williams falls to them he needs to be taken, but I don't think he'll make it anymore, So they'll get Merriman and it sounds like another DE/LB type guy because nobody can make up their friggen mind on the 34 or 43 defense. Its ridiculous. We need a WR or the offense doesn't move. Also Adrian McPherson in the 2nd or 3rd round would make me super happy. Please don't draft two defensive guys that play the same position!! Especially in the same round Dallas!!! Please!! |

Eagles Fan here.
They have 2 2nd round picks including one very early in round 2 so I'd like to see them use that and their first rounder to move up in the middle of the 1st round and get a more quality player (hopefully). Guys I wouldn't mind seeing in an Eagles uniform: WR Troy Williamson DE/LB Shawne Merriman WR Mark Clayton Of course there are also rumors of a Cory Simon trade so if that takes place they will need a replacement at DT, IMO they should wait til next year and hope he has a big year and trade him for a 1st round pick. The DT's in this draft leave a lot to be desired. For the hell of it, here's my top 5 players regardless of position: LB Derrick Johnson RB Ronnie Brown WR Mike Williams CB Antrell Rolle WR Braylon Edwards |

Fins fan, ditto previous sentiments. I'll be happy so long as they don't draft a QB in the 1st round.

but there are rumors of moving up for edwards.... but since there are rumors I will discount the idea totally. I wouldnt mind getting Troy Williamson either. The guy can stretch the field.
