Something that has never happened before: The wrong park showing up despite the correct one being listed. I'm playing the Cubs schedule for the 1958, 2011 and 2021 seasons, and Wrigley Field shows up when the team is at home for the latter two seasons . . . but not for 1958. I'm not sure which park it is, but it sure isn't Wrigley. Any idea how to fix this? Thanks!

Stumped the panel?
106 views and no replies to my Wrong Park post? Sure hope this gets corrected in the next "patch." Usually I get three or more helpful (and usually perfect) suggestions to whatever problem I have had in the past (Thanks, Guys!), so I guess this is a very mysterious problem. If you go to Game Settings and Edit Ballparks and click on the names of different parks, a different (appropriate) picture pops up. For every season except 1958, that is. Have no idea what could cause that and can only speculate as to how it effects play.

You say the right park is listed. And if that means the park factors match your era_ballparks file it doesn't affect play at all. Perhaps all you need to do is change the graphics.

Have tried to do just that but without success. How should I proceed?

Well, explain what you do to change park photos and what happens.

Under Select Ballparks to Edit in Edit Ballparks under League Settings (1958 season), no matter which park I select, the picture never changes. I do the same for any other season, and the picture that pops up matches the park I selected. I can't make it any plainer than that. Why are all my 1958 Cubs games, home and road, showing the same park when the name indicates it IS the proper park? No such problem with my 2011 and 2021 seasons, so obviously something is amiss, and no one seems to know how to fix it. Thanks for responding.

You can manually assign ballpark pictures (and 3D model) on the Ballpark Editor screen. Is this what you've tried?

Yes, many times! And it works for every season except 1958--that's what I'm trying to get across. I've been playing OOTP since 2012 and have never seen anything this intractable. Weird.

Exactly. Which explains 236 views and no solutions. How often does that happen with all the astute OOTP veterans out there? Also weird that I'm apparently the only one who has noticed it . . . or am perhaps the only one fishing in1958 waters these days. Will be interesting to see if it gets corrected in the next patch. But by that time, my1958 season could well have played out and this curiosity will be basically academic. (It says here.)

When you're playing in older seasons, I think sometimes the parks get tagged with their years. So if you start a new game there, the park for the team for me shows up as "Wrigley Field 1938-1978". So by default it won't find a park file under those names, so will use the default major league park.
If you rename it to "Wrigley Field", and then in the ballparks page use Action -> Auto-load data it should update it to the "modern" version of the park. Or you can use the function to manually import the more modern version into the park (or download a 3d model of the older version of Wrigley and the other historical parks) |

Wow, thanks! I couldn't see anything labeled Auto load data, but I did rename the park to just Wrigley Field, and clicked on Add New Ballpark (or something like that), and it worked! Now I'll know what to do in event of any recurrence, so again, thanks so much for your great advice!

I had a problem just like this but it involved a minore league park. 121 Financial Ballpark. The name was there, but the ballpark had changed for some reason to a different park. I just manually reloaded that park and it was all fine again.
