Parkway Field
This stadium was created in response to a request. Here is the e-mail I received:
"Unusual dimensions and 'Red Monstah' among challenges at converted minor league park, Mark Allen reports LOUISVILLE, Kent. (Feb. 1) -- Louisville's Parkway Field is gonna be an interesting place to play the outfield. With a fairly short distance (330 down the line 345 to left field) and the "Red Monstah" 40 foot brick wall, whoever plays left for the Colonels is going to have his hands full. In watching some of the players invited to Louisville for tryouts a number of the outfielders misplayed balls lined off the wall which led to the ball caroming back and being fielded by the 3B or SS!!! Another factor is not only are bricks hard (be interesting to see how many LF's crash into it!!) but the construction is not the smoothest leading to some strange bounces and lots of triples. The Colonels CF will have an easier job as LC is a more reasonable 380 while CF is a fairly short 390 which should lessen considerably the ground he will have to cover. The CF is gonna have to help out the RF though as the deepest part of the park is RC at a whopping 420 while RF is 405. The 'Red Monstah" tapers to a mere 15 ft from LC to C but still is brick. From there the wall turns into a wooden fence a paltry 5 ft in RC and RF and then only 3 ft in RF. We saw a number of players flip over those walls while making running catches during the workouts. Construction is under way to add the 4,000 bleacher seats (on top of the brick wall in left) and should be ready by July 1, 1951. Construction has also begun on the additional 4,000 regular seating down the first base line and in RF. That construction is scheduled to be completed by opening day 1952" {I added a couple of other touches. The ballpark's groundskeeper has planted a variety of rose bushes in deep right center field and beyond the short right field fence - adding to the outfielders woes. Also he maintains an orchard of apple and cherry trees beyond the outfield fences. The stadium sits next to a world-famous manufacturer of bats. Older Parkside
Here is a version of the same stadium without the lights and left field seats for anybody that is looking for an early era ballpark.

Save the picture as a .bmp type file in the OOTP5 graphics folder giving it a name you can remember. (let's use 'Parkway' as an example.) Open OOTP and go to the league you want to use the stadium in. Go to League Setup and click on Edit Ballpark. (Here you can either create a ballpark and assign this picture to it or you can edit an existing ballpark and assign this picture to it.) Click on 'In-Game Field picture' and type in the name of the file you stored in your Graphics folder. Using our example, you'd type Parkway.bmp Now click on test coordinates and you should see a picture of the ballpark.

Teflon, you really need to tell people how you do this incredible work!
I know my OOTP experience would be even better if I knew how to do this! BTW, how long does it take you to do each stadium? |

Teflon - Great Job!! With all these stadiums you are doing do you actually have time to play OOTP
?One small request though. How difficult would it be to change Pioneer beer to Falls City Beer? Was an actual Louisville company (now defunct though). Mark

Sports1131:This stadium took about 12 hours.
Markmeister: I'd be happy to add the Falls City Beer if you can direct me to a good logo. |

I found some good Falls City stuff on the Falstaff website. Before I post the revised stadium I thought you all might want to see one of the Falls City Beer logos. (I love this kind of stuff!)

That's the right logo. The company went out of business long before I starting drinking beer, but my grandfather had all sorts of Falls City memorabelia around his house. Mark

Teflon,
I've heard the saying that a man is what he eats. I guess it also applies to what he drinks too.

Beer Loyalty
I think you're right. I used to live in La Crosse, Wisconsin when Heilman was an independent brewery. Every one drank Old Style or Special Export (aka "Green Death") I also had a fondness for Blatz Light Creme Ale. Heilman was a massive brewery (5th largest in US at that time) and their main storage units looked like a huge 6 pack of Old Style

Teflon i have been checking out your stadiums and each one just keeps getting better. You do one hell of a job keep up the good work and thanks for all the time you put into each one. I have one question for you or anyone else that wants to help me out. What do you use for editing those pictures? I'm looking to buy some photo editing software to try and help out making fictional players which one do ya think is the best to get?
