Humblebundle.com has corel painter 2021 for $30. Also comes with a few other apps and dome decent add ons. Sure, it’s the about to be upgraded version. Want to save nearly $400?

Is this a one-time purchase or yearly fee?

I'm not really good with technology and computers... but I have learned to make decent logos, jerseys and caps using justafan's great software.

Is Corel painter hard to learn?... is it a lot more difficult to use than justafan's software?

Is Corel better than some of the free graphics software like Gimp?... or Inkskape?... not sure I got the name right on the latter.

I'd wager big money Justafan's product is far easier to use. Painter is an arthouse style program, geared towards recreating painting looks with some special effects. GIMP is more of a Photoshop replacement. Ive not used Inkscape, but do know it's an Illustrator style program. Painter is raster, not vector based.

THe bundle also include Aftershot (Lightroom alternative), ParticleShop (special effects and a PS plug-in. On Mac it seems to also be standalone), Multicam Capture, Paint Shop Pro (GIMP), and Video Studio Pro (Premeire Elements alternative) plus a whole bunch of add-ons. My suggestion: go to Corel's website and check these out. Half the bundle is for Windows only, so I can't use it until Virtual Box adapts itself to Mac OS 12.

I've been playing with it all morning and there are a lot of cool options. This app has gown a bunch since I bought version 6 back when it was a Mac only app.

took 10 minutes, including time to search for the jet clip art. 3d text effect from from Art text 4, but the gradient fill was from Painter.

I think EC should just stay in the minor leagues for a while longer... Corel looks like the major leagues to this raw rookie... think it is way out of my league.
