One stat question/one report question
1) What would cause two players on the same team with an identical OPS to have a different OPS+? Does it calculate using the park factors of the actual games that player played in? I always assumed it was just adjusted for home park - that could easily be wrong though. Just want to confirm.
2) Is there any way to edit the Batting/Pitching/Fielding stats reports for individual teams? These are great for looking over every team at the end of the season and seeing all the players that contributed to them at all during the season (rather than just the current players on the team, through the roster/lineup pages). However, it'd be even better if there was some flexibility as to what stats to view. I'd like to add something like OPS+ to the basic batting report, or K/9 to the basic pitching report for example. I couldn't figure out if this was currently possible but I suspect not. |

Under view ...edit view. Now what would be helpful are MORE stats that we can add to view like grandslams, triple plays, sacrifice attempts, lob |

Yeah, you can edit the views on the player profiles. I'm referring to the "Reports" (screenshot attached). Unless I'm missing something, these are preset and can't be edited. I'd love it if these had the same Views as are available and editable on the profiles.

ops is just a mish-mash of 2 stats that even have some overlap.\ ops+ https://www.mlb.com/glossary/advance...-slugging-plus still a mishmash, but it accounts for park factors and such. compares to 'average'. "100 ops+" will translate to different prouctivity any 1 year, but will always inform on how good they were relative to average for that 1 year. easier to compare between drastically different eras of prouctivity or if you chnged a bunch of LTM/LT or creation modifiers etc etc.. randomly adding obp plus slugging is ... unsophisticated, lol. the overlap, ffs.. lol. it's like ppl running baseball were barely high school educated for 100 years. that's fine for a lot of stuff, but not sophisticated analysis... you don't just learn that by monkey-see monkey-doing it...some things take a few years to learn the math and reasoning... to wield it properly.
