3D player models are warped

I'm playing on a M1 iMac and my 3D player models are all warped. I've tried playing around with the settings - disabling OpenGL does not work correctly, and I've also fiddled with the anistropic/audience quality settings too

This can happen if a patch install is borked. If you go to the start screen > settings > troubleshooting, then select the option to 'force reinstall game data' that should fix things. Or if you're on Steam, then verify the local game files in the Steam client.
