whats going on with the contract

this is a ai team + player why is this player contract expiring so soon is this a bug ?

Do you have the maximum number of years you can sign a contract for set to 1? Game Settings > League Settings > Financials > Bottom of the right hand list.

That's the only reason I can think of. But if that's the case, it probably shouldn't have let him sign that 5 year deal in the first place...
