Season stats disappear on game crash

Several times I've had the game freeze when I am multitasking. I use the task manager to close down the program. Sometimes when I start it back up, the stats for the current season are gone, but the schedule is still intact, meaning that teams have all their wins and losses.

I'd rather have everything lost if that happens, because as it is currently, I only get a partial season's worth of stats for each player when I finish the season, and the league leaders are screwed up because of minimum AB/G or IP/G requirements (the games are recorded as having been played, so it often happens that no one qualifies for batting crown, etc.).

What other programs do you have up and running? If we can avoid the crash, then maybe we can also avoid the partial stats. Just a thought.

It depends. There will always be crashes, so how those crashes affect the game is what should change.

Wel then I suggest backing up your league often. It may take a while sometimes, but just try making a backup every other week or so, so the most you ever lose is 1-2 weeks of stats. And the rest is at least complete.

I don't know if that is always possible.

Really? Why woudn't it be? I really don't back up my league all that often myself because I'm not experiencing too many problems, so I really wouldn't know. I only back it up once a season, if that, so like I said, I don't really know. I also don't know what else to suggest. Maybe you can help us out on that part of it, too?

I usually zoom through 1-2 seasons per sitting, so backing up that often would be painful, to say the least.

Yeah, I know what you mean, truly. I often sim more than that if I'm not too busy. That's why I only back up once in a while.

How long does it take to just make a copy of the entire league folder(best way to backup. btw)?

Me, with photopack, photos, full league, about 100MB, I'd say no more than a minute at most. And, that's actually what I do. Always what I have done - just exit the game briefly, then copy/paste the folder, thus making a "copy of league x.lg" I... just hate to exit the game for such an extensive period of time.

Probably in the case of all the extras, if I were you I'd just zip it every time you wanna backup.

That's actually not a bad idea. Not what I've been doing, but I'll give it a shot.

Atleast it saves space and I don't think you have to exit the game to do it just make sure that you have saved recently before doing it.

So, what about the game saving some things and not others? This does screw things up. I hate losing a career just because I had a crash.
