Game is unplayable

I posted here a couple of days ago about a roster issue I am experiencing. A good many people read the post but none responded. I guess I am the only one that has experienced this particular problem. At any rate the game is unplayable for me because of the issue. Just wanted those that may be thinking of purchasing the game to know that this problem can occur and take that into account. It is strange that this issue only happened after the last update. But at any rate I guess since it does not appear to be a wide spread issue it is not a concern. My original post is below.

" I have had this happen to me twice in a row now. After creating a new fictional league, MLB format, I auto play ahead for 15 years. I then expand by two teams. I take control of one team. In the past when I have done this I go to the available jobs tab and it has always shown the two newly created teams needing owners but now they both have GM's and managers. I retire the GM from the team I wish to control.

Anyway I proceed to the expansion draft. Both teams draft. I draft of course for my team and the computer drafts for the other. After the draft I auto play ahead one day. I look and the players that the computer controlled team drafted no longer appear on the roster. If I go ahead and go through the free agent signings the computer team does not sign any free agents to fill out the MLB roster or the minor leagues. Of course once spring training arrives I can't play any games because the other expansion team has no players on their roster.

I am not playing in commissioner mode. When I checked on the other team it is being controlled by the computer. I have played this game for several years and have never had this issue. Anyone have any ideas? As it is now I can't play the game."

I have somewhat similar issue as you with expansion teams, but mine is that expansion teams are being brought in with a parent team despite the fact the expansion teams are major league clubs. This lead to an issue where one of the expansion teams did not have any players, as the "parent" team either moved the players to another team or just outright released the players. I caught on to the issue about a season or two in and have abandoned the save for now.

I submitted a ticket to see if something in my files messed things up, or if there is a bigger issue with expansion teams.

Here is a work around to get players on the other expansion team. Just force then onto the team. Not ideal, but effective.

Simply go to the free agent pool
Select a player
go to player editor
a little way down on the left hand column "Team Information, Select new team"
Place the ex free agent on their team.
Repeat 25 times and you are set to go.

You can make the team as good or as bad as you want.

That is not a solution. Takes away from the experience of the game. Also as I said the computer controlled expansion team does not sign free agents to fill their minor leagues.

Go to Game Settings -> League Settings -> Rules, and on the bottom left there is an option for ghost players in the minor leagues.

I'm aware of that setting and always have it activated.
