First season in Rookie League and just missed Promotion
Since I was the best team to not get promoted (I just missed it), does that mean I should, in theory, be one of the better teams next season (which starts tomorrow)?

If you're able to upgrade your team before tomorrow morning, that would help move the needle in the canine direction.

The dog or the hydrant, very good description. You may very well be the best team in the league or the worst, it's luck of the draw. It is generally not a good thing to be the last team into promotion or the last team not relegated. It gets harder pretty fast, by the time you're in gold league you're facing some teams with a lot of 100s. Remember you get points for in game performance, not just the end of season bonus.

So if you field the exact same team you will have a very similar result (rngesus notwithstanding). So the likeliest (but far from the only) scenario would be you're competing for one of the last promotion spots again. |
