Player of the Game Logic
In a playoff game, the player of the game was a guy who hit 2 HR and had 7 RBI. Seems right? Except the pitcher on the same team threw a no-hitter! There wasn't even a mention of the no-hitter in the game summary.

It would be great if the game would allow the POTG to be edited.

Expanding on this, they also need to adjust how often in a modern sim that a player on the losing team wins series MVP to basically never. While this has happened in sports in the past, it's not really a thing that is likely to happen anymore.

Seems there could be an algorithm written that combines straight-up WinEx with the game situation/Leverage Index, like Win Probability Added (WPA). Can even extend it to the performance's effect on the season, as seen in Championship WPA (cWPA).
For a great example, check out last season's NLCS. MVP honors went to Corey Seager: .301-5-11! Wooooo!!! However, his cWPA was -9.4%, second-worst among the hitters, and third-worst on the roster. Why? Well, check out the circumstances of those homers: #1 - G2, grand slam in the 7th with the Dodgers trailing 7-0. #2 - G3, solo shot in the third to turn a 12-run lead into a 13-run lead. #3 and #4 - G5, his best performance of the series, with a solo homer in the fourth cutting LA's deficit to 2-1, then a two-run HR in the seventh giving the Dodgers a 7-2 lead. #5 - G6, with one out in the bottom of the first, he puts LA ahead to stay, with Justin Turner following for b2b bombs. Oh, in the crucial seventh game, Corey went 0-for-5. Meanwhile, Julio Urias won G3 to keep the Dodgers from falling down 0-3, then threw a perfect 3 IP in G7 to close out the win. His cWPA: 19.62% |
