Statcast park factors available from Baseball Savant
The tl;dr - Baseball Savant and Statcast have a great tool for looking at park effects.
The data goes back more than 20 years, so it's a fantastic source for those demanding historical accuracy in their replays of recent seasons. Here's Tom Tango explaining how this info gets pulled from the numbers, and this article describes some of the interesting nuggets found. For example, Coors Field is MLB's best park for offense; no surprise there - but it is *not* the best park for home runs. The numbers can be dissected by batter's handedness and day/night. You also can break out individual stadiums to see how they've changed (or not) over time. Dodger Stadium is a pitcher's park where, oddly, the environment is conducive to hitting homers - especially during day games. So for OOTP designers or those homebrewing historic ballparks, enjoy! Really cool visuals of the ballparks. Do Coors Field and Comerica really have almost 2.5x more triples than the average park? Wow!

If you have right handed batter that is SPRAY hitter in a right handed low avg ballpark, shouldn't the ballpark effect have less of an impact? I have tried to run simulations to see but creating team of spray hitters and pull hitters. Ultimately i saw no difference and it got tiring exporting data each year so i gave up |
