Switching From Photos To Facegen

I downloaded a mod of Facegen versions of real baseball players. I'm currently using real photos for my historical league. Is there a way I can make the system go through and replace the photos with the Facegens? The files all exist in the fg_files directory of the game's data folder. The files have mostly have a naming convention such as cobb--001ty-.fg (Ty Cobb). What do I need to do to make sure the correct file goes to the correct player? There are 47.5 thousand files in this folder.
