Can't advance more than 2 days without program crashing

Is anyone else having this problem? I'm running a Mac with latest OS, in a historical recreation league. Once I finished the 2018 season, the program just started crashing after every day of gameplay.

I installed the recent patch to see if it would help, but no avail.
