Never ran into this occurrence

Albeit I’ve only done one short playthrough so far (only a season and a half) but I’ve ran into a rather game altering bug for me. I usually only play on fictional league mode, I still use the mlb logos and team names but I just find it more engaging with fictional players. The inaugural draft was fine and was fully fictional, but each entry year draft class was filled with the real life mlb players, almost as if it was making another fantasy draft by replacing what would have been a fictional set of rookies. The same thing occurred in the next 2001 season (I usually start my leagues at 2000) in which point I’ve now decided to reset.

I’ve never had this bug before in ootp and I’ve been playing since 17, I don’t know if theirs been updates in the setting for real life players but is their some way to just completely rid of them entirely? Or am I just doomed now starting a fictional league in a earlier year because it will just fill that rookie class with every player from that year?

(Forgot to mention but yes this is on OOTP26, I just got it.)
