Auction Hosue Bug?

Is this a bug? I am bidding more than the highest amount but it always says someone has bidding higher than me, and then the highest bid amount is the amount I bid?

When you place a bid, it indicates the most you are willing to pay for a card. But The value displayed for the card in the auction house is the least someone is willing to pay for it. Let’s go with an example:

* A card is placed in the auction house with a starting bid of 700.
* Joe comes along and wants it. He bids 1500. The bid on the card is set to 700 with one bid showing on the bid count. That’s because 700 is the least someone can pay to win the card.
* you come along and you also want the card. You place a bid of 1000. The auction house compares Joe‘s maximum bid 1500 against your maximum bid 1000 and since Joe bid first it increases the amount he is now paying to 1000. Because that is now the least someone is willing to pay for the card.
* say you bid again. You bid 1600. The auction house compares your bid against Joe’s maximum bid of 1500. Since your bid is higher, the price is now set to the minimum amount you will pay for the card, which will be 1501. And you are now the high bidder.

That’s how it works in a nutshell.

Thanks for the info!
