Draft picks switching teams due to playoffs change?

I am many seasons into my current FHM7 game and this past season changed the playoff setting to the NHL 2020 (24-team) option for my very first time. (I expanded to 34 teams and was looking for a way to let more teams into the postseason.) The playoffs went fine, but it's now time for the next season's draft, and a pick that I had traded for disappeared. After looking around, it seems that the 8 teams who lost in the qualification round lost all their draft picks to the 8 lowest-seeded/highest-picking teams. (e.g., Columbus lost in the qualification round, supposedly has most of its draft picks, but is nowhere in the draft order except for picks they'd got from other teams. Carolina was a lottery team and generally has two picks in each round of the draft.)

I hadn't updated the game since I first bought v7 when it came out, and after running into this problem I just updated it now. I'm not sure if this is a bug that had previously come up and been fixed or not (either way it's after July 1st so I'm presuming nothing can be done to remedy this particular draft). Thank you!

That sounds like the problem we had with draft picks after the switch back to a regular league format from the 20-21 one; that was fixed a couple of updates ago. But you're right, it's too late for the current draft to be fixed. Future drafts should work normally, though.
