No Pioneer Leauge?
With the default real world leagues, I love the option to have independent leagues in my game. However, there seems to be a rather notable league missing, the Pioneer League. This league was a low A league in previous years, but with the reorg is now one of the recognized MiLB Independent leagues along with the Atlantic League, American Association, and Frontier League. Is there any reason as too why this league seems to have not been included in OOTP22? They are planning on playing, having released the league schedule back in January. Let me play as the Rocky Mountain Vibes!
(Yes I know I can just create the league in game.)

And after a quick look, they've failed to update the Pecos League and Pacific Association, although the PA I understand, there's currently only three teams in the league and I think OOTP needs four.

MiLb has changed their structure in 2021 gone is also the PCL and all other individual leagues, they are labeled as OOTP has them.

I understand that much. The Pioneer League was a R class league in 2019. However as part of the restructure, the Pioneer League, American Association, Frontier League and Atlantic League will be officially recognized by MLB as Partner Leagues. The idea is that MiLB and MLB clubs will be able to easily sign players from these leagues and be used as a testing ground for new rules, in return MLB is investing some much needed capital into these Independent Leagues. The Pioneer doesn't exist at all in OOTP though. There a 7 team league playing a 92 game schedule and it surprised me they aren't included, especially when the Pecos, and Pacific Association are. (that doesn't mean I'm unhappy the Pecos and PA are in).

I was curious, going into the game, whether or not they'd be there. While I think that they should, the lack of history to populate rosters made it an okay omission (for this release, imo).

So just an update, I created the league in game. The logos all exist and loaded for the league and teams automatically.

Sorry man, now that I'm fully awake I understand what you were saying. I'm managing my hometown Evansville Otters, in the independent league setup, created an association of independent leagues. Will be tough for a team from the Frontier to upset Atlantic or American Association, going to give it a shot lol.

The Pioneer League is in OOTP as an Indy League.
You may need to use the quickstart to see it though, rather than the 'new standard game' as it's possible we didn't update the indy league subset in the 'new standard game'. If that's the case, we'll add it to the list of bugs to fix up.

We're waiting on any changes here until those leagues actually start playing out some games, as they have a long history (especially the Pecos League) of announcing changes repeatedly in the offseason that never actually happen, which creates a lot of extra work and messes the db up when we try to keep up in real time.

Thanks for the update! I was sure I was missing something, especially when their logos showed up when I named a team "Rocky Mountain Vibes." Appreciate you taking the time to answer!

I was poking around the Pacific Association website for info about the Sonoma Stompers this year, and neither site has been updated since last year. The San Rafael people were kind of the money/horsepower behind the PA, so with them gone I'm worried that they won't be back. They had just found a new owner for Vallejo when the pandemic started, and Sonoma launched the Napa team just a couple years ago.
