What rating system do you use?
Which one do you use and why do you use it?

I use talent only, because it seems harder, as you never really know what to expect. It gives me more of a challenge that way.

BTW - there's nothing wrong with either reduced or traditional, I just like talent only because it personally seems more realistic.

I use reduced, not for any particular reason except I used Traditional in OOTP4, and thought I'd try something different.

I've been pondering my options. Currently I use traditional. But I also like the talent only because, it makes me watch their stats on when to bring them up in the minors and their history on who to start over who. It gets you more involved.
Then you look on the FA and look for "steals". Like someone who probably has good ratings, because of his history, but did bad last year. |

I am planning on using Reduced, mainly because I (honestly) don't know if I'm ready for talent-only (have only been playing around with OOTP3, using OOTP5 for serious gaming) and it seems a bit in line with what you'd hear abt players anyway.

Definately reduced for me. If for no other reason than to not see a pitcher's 'runs allowed' rating. That one has always irked me because it boils a pitcher down to one usable rating. The rest can be ignored. Thank goodness there has never been a 'runs created' rating for hitters.

Reduced, it gives me just the right information, without giving me too much... if that makes any sense?
I can scan players and know what to look for (stats + limited ratings). I don't like thumbing through all the ratings, in this case little is better. ![]() Todd |
