Converting from OOTP 21

Just an FYI, I have a decently sized league file with 20+ years of history. It took 4 hours to convert the file from 21 to 22.

I have 16GB of RAM.

That is a real long time. I've converted files from versions before, I don't remember it taking more than an hour.

My league - 36 Teams, 4 levels minors, all player images on, logos, uni's, etc

With 106 seasons played took just over 20 minutes to import.

It's a bit weird that yours took so little time and mine took so long.

I will run it again later to try and see if something weird was going on with my PC at the time of conversion. But 22 was the only program running

It shouldn't take that long. Could be a hard drive issue, a lot of reading and writing going on when converting. Either that or possibly anti virus or other software interfering.

A 5gb league file takes just over 9 minutes on my system.

I too converted a league with around 70 years of history and let it run on unattended after four hours, but I think a lot of my time was taken up with the message folder (saw it pass 9,000 messages) and the facegen folder. I’d suggest converting the league with those two folders removed and then reinserting them after conversion maybe?

Took about an hour for me. 1871 up until 1953.

Are you guys experiencing any bugs with moving it over? I want to move my file over but am wondering if it'd be safer to wait until tomorrow once it's out of beta...

Four hours? It literally took little under a minute for me to import my 8 league, 56 team universe (Spanning from 1871-1914) into 22. How big is your universe?

With a file size of around 4 GB (I actually had an error the first time around because I didn't have enough free space on my drive, doh!) Import took less than 60 seconds, which is insanely impressive, considering it took 5 minutes to cut and paste the backup of the save game to my E drive which is what I did to make space for the import
