Excited for OOTP22, but have some questions
Can someone link me to a post about all the new features, I can't seem to find it. Also I forgot how it usually works, can I start my long term save day 1 or is there usually updates that will force me to start a new save? thanks

They have not released a full feature list yet. If you go to their Youtube channel they have a reveal video that has some information in it, but no full feature list as of yet. That will come at some point.
The second question depends on what kind of league you are running and what kind of updates you would want to include. General updates to the game will get pulled into your save. So, if they add/tweak a setting that will likely be something you can use in an ongoing save. However, if you are wanting things like updates to player ratings/rosters you would need to start a new league to get those updates. |

Agree, there isn't a full feature list yet, but this page has quite a few details.

I usually wait until after the first major update before starting a new save if that saves is current MLB. I also wait to import my leagues from the previous version.
What I like to do is spend the first few weeks just trying random things, fast sims, historical, or picking a team I normally don't choose and just play out a few games to check out the new graphics and options. I'm excited to test out new features - even if I don't know what they are yet- before jumping into a long save. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk

Likewise.
I pretty much only play standard (current) but I'll wait until after at least one major update before starting a save(s) that is most important to me. This doesn't work for those who like to play along day-to-day with the actual major league schedule but is fine for me. I play all the games out, but even then I play so much I'll catch up in no time. I'll start with a team/organization that intrigues me (I think I've decided on KC this year) but isn't one of my primary interests. This way I familarize myself with the new or upgraded features, the rosters, ratings and financials around the league etc. and allows the devs to iron out any bugs in the first release. They usually fine tune the major and minor league rosters as well, and this is something I find worth waiting for. Last edited by Dave Stieb II; 03-18-2021 at 09:50 PM. |
