Auction options
More ways to sort the auctions are needed.
Not only by ratings, but their real life stats. I would love to be able to sort by their WHIP or their HRs, etc... It would also be nice if we could see their actual stats for the year in question without having to go to baseball-reference

Not disagreeing that more options for sorting the AH would be nice. But real life stats? WHIP?
You may be interested in knowing that the game uses a FIP model for pitching, so WHIP would be a horrible stat to use, as hits are completely outside the pitchers control in the game engine. Also, real life stats go through a lot of normalization to arrive at the ratings. So I think in general, this is a bad idea and would only lead to a lot more "this player did X in real life, why is he falling short of X in perfect team" type complaints. The ratings are what's most important in the end. |

Yeah, of all the things we need to be able to sort by on the auction house, real life stats is...not on the list

I have no idea about auctions never used them. But if real-life sts may help some people then add them. Then everyone has a choice to use them or not. What's wrong with that?

Furthermore some stats could be very misleading. For example WHIP is a stat that is heavily used in some circles like fantasy baseball, so people think it's important. However in the OOTP game engine, WHIP is meaningless for pitchers, because base hits are controlled by BABIP and defensive ratings...the pitcher has nothing to do with it. Allowing players to sort by something like that would be doing a huge disservice to the player base. I get the point you're trying to make that having more options to please more people is generally a good thing, and those who don't like it can just abstain from using it. However in this instance it could really hurt new players and I don't think it's a good idea. |

I just wish we could sort by nationality. I love putting together Team Canada and trying to find Canadians (let alone figuring out which ones I should even look for) is annoying.

That is a good one for sure. I would also really like to see a filter for handedness, i.e. show only lefties or righties.

As it was explain in the past, it would take a massive number of server calls for this to happen, essentially reducing search to a crawl.
But the highlighting in red is client-side, so no drain on resources
