Creating A Team With The Same Name As Another
Hello everyone, I am thinking about doing something that I have not done before with the game and just wanted to see if anyone had an idea if it might cause any problems.
In a fictional league I started a team in San Francisco in 1899 and moved them to Cincinnati and changed the name just two years later. Enter the 1940's and I'm thinking of adding a team in SF. I would like for them to have the same name as the old team from 40 years ago (a la the Charlotte Hornets in the NBA not really being the same team as the Hornets from the 90's). So my question is, does anyone see this causing any weird problems in the game? Will it treat them as two different teams? The same team? Will it mess up some old stats or anything? Just wondering if anyone had a clue. Thanks.

Won't cause a problem at all. The game recognizes teams by their ID number, the actual team name is more or less window dressing.
