Does bench player override force start?

Or vice versa?

Force start -> lineup spot bench will put them on the bench. Best used if you want to force start a platoon, can force their weak side to the bench and they will act as a platoon option.

Well maybe not.

What if you want the benched player to pinch hit or be available for an extra inning game. If I had 3 platoons, that could be problematic.

He would still be available. The "force lineup slot" only impacts starting lineup.

So Matt you are saying that when you use Force start Spot and select bench the player is available to PH and Be a replacement.

But I think the question was does using the (Roster settings) benching player Override the Force Start Offensive settings & is a benched player (under those settings) able to PH

I am thinking they do because the roster settings have much more value then then Lineup settings and I would think they wouldn't be able to be available.

Yeah, if you "bench for X days", then that's a strict benching. They aren't available to pinch hit even in that case (except possibly as a last resort, like if all your bats got hurt or so).
