Historical Legend Newcombe?

Playing in a Silver Lg right now. I recently pulled HL Newcombe in a pack. The early pitching results are not that great. It seems much of his value is in his hitting ratings (for a P).

With regular leagues being DH leagues, I am not seeing any obvious tournaments where I can exploit his hitting in a no DH league. Is there any good way to exploit his hitting? Or am I better off selling him off and acquire a better SP, or stud hitter?

His value lies in diamond cap tournaments, as he's a serviceable hitter and pitcher in one (pitches one day, DH's the next 4, etc.) Much like the iron Don Newcombe is a common sight in bronze cap.
